Truth or myth: do you need to eat something right after working out?

Apparently, you destroy muscle when you haven't had breakfast, train for 1-1.5 hours at high intensity, and do not eat anything 1 hour later. If you do a pre-workout meal, you do not need a post-workout one since your amin acids and hormones are stable up to 3 hours from the last time you ate. So, what does that mean? Basically that you need to consider your training and meals times. If you train without eating anything, make sure that after you have a good mix of carbs and proteins. However, this is not necessary if you have eaten 3-4 hours before working out.

Personally, I need a little extra when I go out from work and go to yoga, running, or workout at home. You will usually catch me munching on:

If I do workout just when I get up, I’ll have a smoothie for breakfast with banana, some green leaves, vegan protein, cocoa powder, and maca. For the moment, the vegan proteins that I like best are Sunwarrior, Weider, myprotein, be essential and foodspring.

What about you? How do you feel your body?
